The Parish Council have been passed information by National Grid that they will be delivering a transformer to Willington Substation off Twyford Road on Friday 7th September between 13.00 and 15.00.

They do not expect any major disruption and the vehicle will have a police escort to help manage traffic.

The transformer is being delivered to be kept as a spare part. It will be vital in ensuring that the substation continues to play a vital role in keeping the lights on across the county and far beyond.
