The Parish Council has teamed up with Active South Derbyshire to bring some fun filled FREE activity sessions for the children and young people of Findern and Highfields.
There are 4 sessions available at two venues. The sessions are aimed at 8–16 year olds. Note: Under 8’s may attend, but only with a responsible adult present at all times.

Tuesday, 16 August, 10am-12noon Sport Mobile

Tuesday, 2 August, 6pm-8pm Sport Mobile
Thursday, 25 August, 2pm-4pm Adventure Mobile
Venue: Hillside Playing Field, off Hillside, Findern DE65 6AW
SPORTS MOBILE (Pictures above): The ever-popular Sports Mobile will return in 2022, hoping to inspire the nation to participate in a wide variety of sporting activities and challenges. The team will bring along a range of sports kit suitable for all ages and abilities to take part in football, cricket, tag rugby, tennis, dodgeball and athletics. Also included in the session is the Inflatable Arena which will be used to play human table football, along with acting as an enclosed space in which young people can play different sports such as dodgeball, handball, ultimate frisbee and many more. There will also be a mountain bike challenge course which consists of ramps and balance beams to test young people’s skills (bikes will be provided but young people are encouraged to bring their own along). Safety equipment will also be provided. Finally, inspired by the Commonwealth Games, there will be themed competitions to challenge our young athletes to throw the Javelin, jump the hurdles, run the relay and much more!
ADVENTURE MOBILE (Pictures above): The Adventure Mobile is made up of the Laser Combat Arena, and the Inflatable Mountain Climb. There will also be other generic sports and activity equipment. The outdoor Laser Combat Arena is made up of barricades, obstacles and cargo nets for the participants to dodge, duck and hide behind while using digital laser guns to ensure they experience the ultimate laser combat experience. The Inflatable Mountain Climb is fantastic for allowing young people of all ages and abilities to climb and explore in a safe and encouraging environment.
