The contractors HAGS have today completed the installation of the latest phase of improvements at the King George Playing Field off Heath Lane in Findern.
A range of Outdoor Gym Equipment has been installed alongside the Pump Track to extend the range of exercise options available to the residents of Findern.
Equipment includes: –
- Parallel Rails
- Horizontal Ladder
- Single Sit Up
- 3 Height Step Up
- Ski Stepper
- Trinity Cycle
- Leg Press
Instructions on how to use the individual items is displayed on each piece of equipment. It should be noted that the equipment is for adults and young persons over the height of 1.4 metres.
The Gym equipment is the second phase of improvements at the playing field, following the installation of the Pump Track in June 2020. The third phase planned is a hardstanding area with basketball hoop which will be sited alongside the Pump Track. The layout of the improvements still leaves a 7/9 a-side football pitch alongside the eastern edge of the playing field.
The Council hopes that the equipment will prove very popular and contribute to the level of fitness and well-being in the residents of Findern.
