Come along to our Easter Egg Hunt and Easter Bonnet Parade!

Residents are invited by the Parish Council to come along and enjoy an Easter Egg Hunt and Easter Bonnet Parade and Competition on Saturday 16 April 2022 from 10am till 12 noon.

Easter eggs in a groupThe event will be held at the King George V Playing Field off Willington Road, Findern (if the weather is rainy the event will be held in the Village Hall on Castle Hill in Findern).

In addition to the Easter Egg Hunt games and children’s entertainment by Dream Parties, there will be a competition for the best Easter Bonnet, so start designing and making and we look forward to seeing your fabulous designs!

Findern Parish Council is recruiting a Parish Warden

Findern Parish Council is recruiting a part-time Parish Warden to help keep areas clean and tidy with the regular removal of litter across the public open space and footpaths, mainly around the Highfields area. If this is of interest to you, read on…

The role will be carried out in accordance with the relevant legislation and with specific emphasis on health and safety. All equipment will be provided.

The Parish Warden will also act as the “eyes and ears” for the Council, reporting any concerns or areas requiring attention to the Parish Clerk including any health and safety issues observed whilst undertaking the role.

  • The role is responsible to the Parish Clerk for day-to-day issues and the

hours of work will be up to 6 hours per week, worked flexibly to

accommodate the needs of the service.

  • Rate of pay is National Living Wage, currently £8.91 per hour for anyone

aged 23 or over (rising to £9.50 in April 2022).

  • There are 20 days annual leave plus 8 statutory leave days (pro rata based

on 37-hour week).
