Installation of the pump track (for bikes, skateboards and scooters) at the King George V Playing Field will start week commencing 8 June 2020.

Following the granting of the planning permission for the track, the original start date for installation was 20 April 2020, however this was postponed because of the Coronavirus crisis. With some businesses now opening up, the contractor has been able to source the supplies required.

The contractor is a family firm and all team members live together and do not need to socially distance; therefore, are able to work together to deliver this project which they anticipate taking approximately 4 weeks. The machinery operating hours will be, Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am – 6pm.

The contractor will need to access the playing field via the gateway off Baxter’s Way, therefore, may we make a polite request that this access is left clear of vehicles during the day.
